Tellin it like it is....

(via CNN)
Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress last week.

Bang this for the full article

I currently reside in the South, and I have never experienced blatant racism before until  I migrated South from up North (New Jersey). Since our nation has the first "black" or African-American president racist have been coming out the wood work. It's a shame after how far we have come as a country that there is still this level of hatred towards different races, and as of recent (evidence seen on twitter) this epidemic is being passed down to the younger generations too. Sad, but will it ever end? I hope...

Lil Mama and her F-ed State of Mind

The 2009 Mtv VMA's were full of a bunch of surprises and foolishness from beginning to end, and coming to finish off the stunt of all stunts was Lil Man, I mean Mama.

About 40 seconds before Jay-Z and Alicia Key's performance to "Empire State", off his new Blueprint 3 album, was over the camera pans out to show the audience, and if you look hard enough you see a figure walking onto the stage on the left side of the screen. It's Lil Mama...

Bang that for the video...

CLEARLY she didn't get the memo that it is NEVER cool to jump on the stage, uninvited, while fellow artists are performing. She also didn't get the memo that she doesn't have the proper credentials to breathe on the same stage as Jay-z and Alicia Keys musically, and apparently she never realized Jay-z was less then impressed with her presence.

At the 24 second mark he says into the mic, "Oh you T-pain-ing now", in reference to the same stunt the man with the most success off a voicebox T-Pain pulled at 2009 Summer Jam in NYC.

After this stunt Lil Mama become the butt of all jokes, even over Kanye, on twitter...Alicia Keys even joined in on the fun. She tweeted this pic saying "Look ya'll Lil Mama...at it again!"

And rapper Fabolous made #Lilmamais a trending topic on twitter within a matter of minutes.
He's hilarious...

I waited to post on this because I knew there was going to be a Lil' Mama apology on the way...Here it is...

Bang that for the video...

Apology or not, Lil Mama you embarrassed the hell out of yourself, AND messed up every still shot of Jay-z and Alicia Key's end to their performance. FAIL!

Lil Mama leaked a song titled "See Me Everywhere"...Go figure

Team Kanye!

I won't retract any statements that I made about Kanye West and his performance on the VMA's on Sunday, regarding his interruption of country artist Taylor Swift's acceptance speech (see previous post), but I will say after watching Kanye apologize for the third time for his actions I understand his move. There's normally a method to Kanye's madness, but it usually get's overshadowed by his initial action, and this time was no different.

check the video:

Honestly, I was getting tired of Kanye apologizing for what he did. I mean if your going to be balls-e enough to do something like that then stick to your guns, but after watching this brief interview I realized Kanye is like a lot of people I know. Passionate about the things that they believe in.

And wtf was really good with Jay Leno asking about his deceased mother? Completely irrelevant...Kanye your in my prayer's. Remember "misunderstood ain't gotta be explained"...

*word is that President Obama called Kanye a jackass off air, and his statement was tweeted then deleted by an ABC reporter...all I  can do is smh at this one*

Check the performance of  "Run this town"

I promise I wasn't really checking for this song...only Ye's part, but after watching a live performance of it...I'm a fan...Loved Rhi-Rhi's vocals much better live then on wax...

Let's Stay Together *Nas & Kelis*

First and foremost Happy Belated Birthday to Nas who turned 37 yesterday (Sept. 14)!!!!

It has been reported that rapper Nas and his recently divorced wife Kelis were seen in NYC club Marquee kissing and hugged up. The pair recently celebrated the birth of their first son, Knight, along with major court battles over alimony and child support.

I've always enjoyed these two as a couple, and I wish them the best. I hope the can work it out for baby Knight's sake.

Changed Man???

This morning Chris Brown sent a link via twitter to a video that features pictures of him and his former girlfriend Rhianna with his new song "Changed Man".

Check the video:

Chris tweeted this a couple seconds later...

I honestly feel bad for him. While, I don't condone the battery or assault of women, or anybody for that matter, I think this whole Chris Brown & Rhianna situation has been blown up by the media terribly, and not for purposes of awareness against abuse. That's wack. Everybody is a critic when the spotlight isn't on them. I'm pretty sure most of the "anti-Chris Brown" haters, if given the opportunity to dig into their past there would be things that surfaced about them that are less then admirable. In saying this I wish Chris & Rhianna the best of luck with their love, life, & career, and hopefully the rest of the world can move on as they are currently trying to do.

Bring'em Out, Bring'em Out *Twitter Edition*

With twitter becoming the most popular way for "regular" people or, fans to interact with "celebrities" there were plenty of words being thrown around from both sides of the fence about the tomfoolery that was displayed by Kanye West at last night's VMA's.

I ran across a couple of retweets that said type in Kanye West and N*gger in the search box, so I did, and what do you know...Take a look at what popped up:

This is probably one of the most distrubing things I've seen since that can of soda being sold in Target last week...Lynched tho? SMDH...Yes Kanye was waaayyyy out of line for interupting that little girl's acceptance speech, but these comments are a bit much...I guess having a Black President doesn't change the mentality of the ignorant. What they don't realize is statements like the ones above makes them a "n*gger" too. IGNORANT!
Maybe there's a method to Mr. West's madness...hmmmmm
*Btw Taylor Swift didn't thank Ms. Beyonce at all for allowing her to get back a piece of the moment Kanye took away*

They F*cking...

This morning at around 4 o' clock diddy twitpic-ed this photo of his boo boo baby boo boo boo Cassie...I guess he had to show his shorty some love since NOBODY was checkin for her tonight...

Her hair actually looks alright, her dress is cute, but that bag with them shoes....nu-uh...
